Sunflowers in Low Light

Late afternoon light filtering through the dining room window offers just enough for the color to show. I couldn't resist snapping some photos of the store bought sunflowers.

With a little brightness and contrast, more detail emerges along with some grain which is expected in low light.

With Brightness and Contrast

One thing which you can do with image software (Paint.net) and not just a photo touchup software (Photoscape) is to actually manually adjust the output levels of particular inputs. This can lead to some interesting effects.

A lot of image and photo software have interesting effects. One of my favorites is a painting effect. Add a little blur afterwards and I arrived at this.

Painted?

Of course, sometimes another exposure and a different window offers more of that it!
